It started with a simple idea.
To see how one piece could be worn, lived in, and captured, by different women, in different places, in their own way.
So we sent one dress around Australia, passing it from photographer to photographer, from one woman to the next, each bringing their own light, their own story, their own way of seeing.
No strict brief. No over-styling.
Just a piece designed to move, to adapt, and to be worn in whatever felt right.
What came back wasn’t just a collection of images.
It was proof of something we’ve always believed:
That the right piece doesn’t define the moment,
it becomes part of it.
This is what it became, in different hands.

Stop 1 - Elise de Haas Photography
For Stop 3 of The Travelling Dress headed west, to Perth Western Australia, to photographer Elise De Haas, and the result feels exactly like what this project was always meant to become.
I struggled to select only a few from this amazing shoot Elise did, her work at golden hour on the beach was breathtaking. Shooting our Illoura on a expecting mama, the dress worked magic with her gorgeous bump and the golden glow of the sky.
Captured amongst rugged rock formations and soft evening light, Elise documented motherhood in a way that feels both powerful and deeply intimate. Her work has a quiet emotion to it. Nothing feels over-directed or forced. Instead, she creates space for women to simply exist within the moment, and that’s what makes these images feel so beautiful.
For this stop, the dress felt right at home against the coastline, dramatic yet understated, feminine without trying too hard.

One dress, worn in a completely different way again. That’s been one of the most special parts of this project, watching the same piece become something new in the hands of each photographer and woman who wears it.
The Travelling Dress Project was created to celebrate not only the versatility of one piece, but the women and photographers bringing their own stories to it along the way. Elise’s stop feels calm, grounded, and full of warmth, a beautiful reminder that often the simplest moments become the ones we hold onto most.
Thank you to Elise for being part of this project and sharing your beautiful eye with us. This project just wouldn't of been the same without you.

Designed in Australia in limited runs, the Illoura Satin has become one of Co & Ry’s most-loved pieces for maternity photoshoots, motherhood sessions, and meaningful moments worth remembering. The satin catches light beautifully while still feeling soft, fluid, and easy to wear. With adjustable wrap ties and flowing fabric, the Illoura is intentionally versatile. Worn on or off the shoulder, layered over swimwear, styled barefoot at the beach or dressed up for golden hour, every photographer in this project interpreted it differently.
And that was the point.
Because the best pieces aren’t the ones worn once for a photo.
They’re the ones that become tied to memories afterwards.
