It started with a simple idea.
To see how one piece could be worn, lived in, and captured, by different women, in different places, in their own way.
So we sent one dress around Australia, passing it from photographer to photographer, from one woman to the next, each bringing their own light, their own story, their own way of seeing.
No strict brief. No over-styling.
Just a piece designed to move, to adapt, and to be worn in whatever felt right.
What came back wasn’t just a collection of images.
It was proof of something we’ve always believed:
That the right piece doesn’t define the moment,
it becomes part of it.
This is what it became, in different hands.

Stop 7 - Theresa Du Preez Photography
After thousands of kilometres, countless sunsets, and six incredible photographers, the Illoura Satin has reached its final destination.
Stop 7 takes us to Tasmania, where photographer Theresa Du Preez of TDP Photography welcomed the dress for the final chapter of The Travelling Dress Project.
And honestly, there couldn't have been a more fitting place to finish.
Tasmania has a way of slowing everything down. The landscapes feel untouched, the light softer, and the pace gentler. It was the perfect setting for a project that was never really about a dress at all.
It was about storytelling.
It was about creativity.
It was about seeing how one piece could be interpreted through seven different photographers, in seven different locations across Australia.
Theresa was the perfect choice for our final stop and final photographer. Her work is breathtaking and inspirational, and having her finalise this journey was the missing piece to our puzzle. I'm obsessed with Theresa, and to have someone like her and her work support Co & Ry over the years has been such an honour.

For this final stop, the Illoura Satin felt completely at home amongst Tasmania's rugged beauty. Soft against the landscape, yet strong enough to hold its own. The champagne satin catching the light in a way that reminded us why this dress has become one of our most-loved designs.
Watching the dress travel from Victoria to South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, and finally Tasmania has been incredibly special.
Every photographer brought something different.
Every location told a different story.
Yet the one thing that remained consistent was how adaptable the Illoura proved to be.
Styled differently.
Photographed differently.
Worn by different women.
Yet somehow always feeling like it belonged.
As this project comes to a close, we're reminded that the best pieces aren't defined by a single moment or a single purpose.
They're the pieces that move with you.
The pieces that adapt.
The pieces that become part of your story.
A huge thank you to Theresa for helping us bring this final chapter to life, and to every photographer who welcomed the Illoura into their corner of Australia.
What started as one dress became something much bigger.
And we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful ending.
