Her name is Cornelia...

Some shoots go exactly as planned—this was not one of them. As we arrived, the wind threatened to unravel every carefully curated detail, turning soft drapes into wild, untamed waves of fabric. But instead of working against us, the elements became our greatest muse. The breeze lifted sending Cornelia into motion, wrapping our stunning muse, Hannah, in a dance of lace and light.

This shoot was important, as this dress holds a special place in my heart, named after my late grandmother, Cornelia—Corrie for short. She was the one who taught me to sew, and as a child, I longed to visit her, drawn to the hum of her machine and the endless possibilities tucked within her fabrics. Creating this piece felt like a tribute to her—her grace, her artistry, and the way she made simple stitches feel like magic.

With its voluminous sleeves and flowing silhouette, Cornelia strikes the perfect balance between elegance and drama. Delicate shell buttons trace the front, allowing you to wear it modestly or reveal a growing baby bump, while elasticated cuffs and a flexible back waist ensure a flattering fit for all. Crafted from ivory lace, this piece carries a warm, timeless charm—unlined and slightly sheer, adding to its ethereal beauty.

What began as a challenge turned into something truly magical. Cornelia belongs in motion, where the wind whispers through its lace and turns every moment into something cinematic—just as my grandmother’s love of sewing set my own creativity in motion all those years ago.
